Background
| Kooheji
stores are found in 1939 by Mr. Ishaq A. Kooheji. They
are in the watches retail business for over 50 years.
From 32 years Kooheji stores are representing distinguished
Swiss brands (Rolex, Concord, Tudor, Movado, Hublot) as a
sole agent in the eastern and northern regions of Saudi Arabia.
They have retail and wholesale shops, located in Khobar, Dammam,
Hofuf and Hafr AL Batain. The head office is in Khobar. |

The
Challenges
Since the 1970’s,
Kooheji store grew with the use of an old accounting & stock
control system was developed locally at Saudi Arabia DOS-based.
The main problem for Kooheji Store was handling and organizing the
serial number for each item & how to calculate the cost if they
add some parts to the item or if they replace part with another
one to change the color or the shape or any customization.
Kooheji store are selling critical and very expensive items so they
need very strong and accurate stock control.
Al-Amri & Co recommended
ACCPAC Advantage with serialized inventory control option. We deal
with Kooheji store on February 2001 and we started the implementation
on April 2001 at the head office in Khobar.
We implemented ACCPAC financial for the accounting department after
fully business requirement review. We
implemented the inventory control module to manage and to
handle the stock receiving, transferring, stock assembling, &
stock costing. We implemented ACCPAC serialized inventory option
to manage all serial numbers and to detect each item for whom sold
or bought and where is it and to know the history for any serial
number.
We Implemented ACCPAC sales order Entry Module to handle & manage
the sales orders at show rooms & their services centers.
Kooheji store show rooms are linked using ADSL lines and they have
one file server at the head office & the sales persons can access
ACCPAC database by the predefined permissions.
The second phase in our plan with Kooheji stores is to implement
iconnect server service to give an access through the web to specific
customers or their biggest customers like SAUDI ARAMCO.
We finished the implementation at kooheji store within 4 weeks and
after that we followed them during the data entry and year-end closing
process.
