Trading & Cont. Co is found in 1978 by Mr. Juman
Al-Zahrani. They are in Home Appliances & electronics
retail business for over 25 years.
Al-Baha Trading & Cont. Co is representing Japanese, American,
European, & Asian products (Sony, Panasonic, LG, Samsung,
Haier, Etc) as reseller in all over the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
They have more than 22 retail and wholesale shops & more
than 8 warehouses, located in all over the kingdom. The head
office is in Dammam.

The Challenges
Since the 1970’s, Al-Baha Trading & Cont. Co grew with
the use of an old accounting & stock control system was developed
locally at Saudi Arabia DOS-based.
The main problem for Al-Baha Trading & Cont. Co was handling
and organizing thousands of items & hundreds of customers. Also
they have another problem in calculating the actual cost and pricing
policy. They have another problem in promotional prices calculations.
Al-Amri & Co recommended
ACCPAC Advantage. We deal with Al-Baha Trading & Cont. Co on
January 2002 and we started the implementation on April 2002 at
the head office in Dammam.
We implemented ACCPAC financial for the accounting department after
fully business requirement review. We implemented the inventory
control module to manage and to handle the stock transferring, stock
assembling, & stock costing. Al-Baha Trading & Cont. Co
has complicated transferring procedure so we implemented Item transfer
option to handle the transferring processes between the locations.
We Implemented ACCPAC sales order Entry Module to handle & manage
the sales orders at show rooms & their services centers. &
We are going to implement the ACCPAC
epos for their showroom because they have big number of daily transactions.

Trading & Cont. has complicated purchasing procedure
for that reason we implemented ACCPAC purchase orders module to
manage their vendors, additional cost, & purchasing cycle.
Al-Baha Trading & Cont. Co
show rooms are linked using VPN lines and the are using ADSL lines
for the critical locations like the warehouses. They have one file
server at the head office & the sales persons can access ACCPAC
database by the predefined permissions.
The second phase in our plan with Al-Baha Trading & Cont. Co
is to implement eTransact service to host their goods. We finalized
the implementation at Al-Baha Trading & Cont. Co within 4 weeks
and after that we followed them during the data entry and year-end
closing process.
